Officers of Reigate & Banstead Borough Council, acting in their capacity as partners in the proposed development of a business park south of Horley, met today with members of local campaign group, Keep Horley Green.
Joanna Barnett and Matt Allen of Keep Horley Green set out some of the group’s concerns and asked why the council was progressing the project in the face of local opposition.
John Reed and Michael Graham for Reigate & Banstead Borough Council explained that the council had announced its interest in the project at an early date and that there were no designs ready to share. As they took shape, the designs would start to address issues such as flood risk, views and loss of green space. They asked Joanna to give the council a chance to work up its designs and present its proposals when they were ready.
The meeting was also attended by a communications consultant acting for the partners, Phil Kennedy of FTI Consulting.
